Perler Bead Sprite Art

First post, oh yeah!

Anyway, hi, I'm Allie. My favorite craft is making classic video game sprites out of Perler beads, which are beads you arrange on a pegboard and then iron together. Here's some examples of my work:

All of these were made as prizes for the Video Game Club's charity event, Geeks Without Sleep. I personally made the four Mario mushrooms and the Link sprite. The rest were made by the president of the club except for the Cheep Cheep (the giant fish) which was made by my boyfriend, Mr. X (as he likes to be known on the internet. Or, at least, as I'm calling him on the internet. It sounds very 60's sci-fi, don't you think?) Personally, I think it's the most magnificent - you know, for being a giant fish. It took him the better part of four hours.

Once they were finished, all of them had magnet stripping attached and they now enjoy their lives as fridge magnets.
